Activity Goals
Bringing ID experts and other ID related health care professionals in New York City, Long Island, Westchester and other nearby areas together with experts in currently relevant ID fields including bench and clinical research, as well as microbiology, pharmacology, vaccine development and public health research and updates. The speakers will cover topics in i) emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases; ii) new problems of antimicrobial resistance; iii) impact of the microbiome on health and illness; iv) the interface of the opioid epidemic and infectious diseases; v) clinical management, new treatment options and approaches of major ID challenges; and vi) new technologies and their applications in infectious diseases.
